Can I Keep Living Like a Caveman? Paleo Week 2

Alright ladies and gentlemen, we are rolling into week two of the Paleo Diet. I feel at one with Mother Nature and I can feel the pulse of the core of the earth… just kidding… I’m still craving pizza crust and I’m hunting down anything with dark chocolate on it because it’s the one sugary thing I can have.

This week was tough because of the Halloween themed parties and the constant pressure to want to have a drink to celebrate, I did have a couple of glasses of wine… Couldn’t let my friends have ALL the fun 🙂

Alas, here are my week two meals and snacks:

Week Two

Day 8

Breakfast

  • Two Eggs
  • 1/4 Bell Pepper
  • Half of a tiny avocado

Lunch

  • Chicken Soup

Dinner

  • Chicken Soup

Snacks

  • Handful of raspberries
  • Banana
  • Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies

Day 9

Breakfast

  • Two Eggs
  • 1/4 Bell Pepper
  • Half of a tiny avocado

Lunch

  • Tilapia Fish
  • Baby carrots

Dinner

  • Chicken Soup

Snacks

  • Handful of raspberries
  • Brandless Dark Chocolate Quinoa Bites

Day 10

Breakfast

  • Three Eggs
  • 1/4 Green Bell Pepper
  • One chopped up hot dog

Lunch

  • Progresso – Garden Vegetable Soup

Dinner

  • Two Hamburger Patties wrapped in lettuce

Snacks

  • Apple
  • Dark Chocolate covered raisins and almonds

Day 11

Breakfast

  • Fruit ensemble

Lunch

  • Progresso – Garden Vegetable Soup

Dinner

  • Sushi

Snacks

  • Apple
  • Banana
  • Dark Chocolate covered raisins and almonds

 

Unfortunately, I had a small run-in with the flu the rest of week 2… I basically just ate soup for every meal and chicken chopped into teeny-tiny pieces when I was able to swallow again. But we’re back at it for week 3!

  1. I’ve never tried the paleo diet out of a perhaps misplaced concern that my energy levels would plummet, but it’s definitely something I’ve considered trying sometime haha hope you’re feeling better!

      The great thing about Paleo is that you’re cutting out all the things that would normally make you feel bloated or dragged down — sugar, carbs and dairy. So I’ve actually felt more energetic! You should definitely give it a go!
